Solid State is offering an advisory service to businesses seeking to comply with the new Fire Safety Order (FSO).

The FSO applies to all non-domestic premises in England and Wales. Under the order, accountability for the life safety systems in a building lies firmly with the owner/manager of a business. Fire risk assessments must be carried out by a ‘responsible person’ or specialist company to ensure that life safety systems comply with the new fire laws.

Solid State has not only been awarded the National Security Inspectorate’s (NSI) Gold medal for the design, installation, commissioning, handover, verification and maintenance of fire detection systems but is also a member of the Fire Industry Association (FIA).

Therefore, you can be confident that we have attained the necessary levels of competence and can provide a means through which the owner/manager of a building can demonstrate that they have satisfied their statutory ‘duty of care’.
